Nicla’s coffin arrived on Friday at the chapel in Brørup. Here his best friends had the opportunity to see him. It was done very respectfully, say Gisa and Torben. You young people politely asked if they might touch Niclas, and they were allowed to. The parents then put a lid on the coffin, and it will not be opened once more, they say. Private photo
At first, the parents considered that Niclas should sleep his eternal sleep here next to his grandfather in the cemetery in Brørup. The two had a very special bond, but on further reflection, the parents have changed plans and have now reserved a burial place at Gesten Cemetery. There is space here for friends to set up things and cases in memory of Niclas, Gisa and Torben Viftrup say. It is also close to the childhood home and thus more practical for the family.
