“At a time when politics is more focused on combat than on the future, our campaign is dedicated to real solutions rather than shock phrases,” announces the candidate who calls himself “Literally Anybody Else”. Dustin Ebey, his real name, is a 35-year-old man from Texas who is tired of the American political scene. To be able to get his message across, he officially changed his name thanks to a recently issued driving license, as he explained to the American news channel WFAA88. “We believe in an America where health care, education and opportunity are accessible to all,” says Dustin Ebey.
What will happen to Trump if he doesn’t post half a billion dollars in bail on Monday?
“For too long, Americans have been victims of their political parties which prioritize loyalty over governance. Together, let’s send a message to Washington: ‘You will represent the people or you will be replaced,’ insists the Texan candidate. Incisive, he also attacks Joe Biden and Donald Trump: “America should not have to choose between the ‘king of debt’ (as he himself declared) and an 81-year-old.” Although his candidacy may seem like a joke, Dustin Ebey mightn’t be more serious. Sharing ideas from both the left and the right, the young man has really decided to tackle the presidential elections and hopes to make a place for himself.
But, to get there, Dustin needs to reach 113,000 signatures by May. By doing so, it will appear on the ballot. He believes, however, that this dizzying number is achievable and fills a significant void on the ballots. “We don’t have a ‘neither’ option on the ballot, and this would fulfill that role,” he explains. All that remains is to wait until November to see if Literally Anybody Else can worry Joe Biden and Donald Trump!
