Actress Cameron Diaz (51) and her husband Benji Madden showed off the happy news. They welcomed their second child into the world.
“We are blessed and thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden. He is amazing and we are all so happy he is here! For the safety and privacy of the children, we will not post any photos, but he is really cute,” the couple announced in a joint post on Instagram.
Diaz thus became a mother for the second time at the age of fifty-one, the second child was probably brought into the world by a surrogate mother. With the guitarist of the band Good Charlotte, he also has a daughter, Raddix, who was born in 2019. Diaz and Madden were married nine years ago. And the actress, who became famous with the film There’s Something About Mary, has no regrets.
“Getting married was the best thing I did in my 40s, it gave me a lot of new things in my life,” she told Harper’s Bazaar magazine. Their marriage works even though they each have their own bedroom with Benji.
“For me, it’s literally like, I have my house, you have yours. We have a family house in the middle. I’ll go to sleep in my room, you go to yours. I’m fine,” the actress declared in the “Lipstick on the Rim” podcast, adding that they still have a bedroom in the middle, which they use for moments together, so their intimate life definitely doesn’t suffer.
