Car catapulted into oncoming traffic in Ebensee: driver (67) injured

The 67-year-old from the Gmunden district was traveling from the town center of Ebensee towards Roith around 10 a.m. On Bahnhofsstrasse she came over the right edge of the road and hit a garden wall. The woman tried to get her car back under control and swerved the car to the left. However, this did not have the desired effect – on the contrary: the car was lifted and thrown into the oncoming lane.

A 73-year-old – also from the Gmunden district – tried to swerve to the right with his car and crashed into a fence. However, he was no longer able to prevent a collision.

The 67-year-old’s car finally came to rest following a brief slide across the direction of travel. The driver was slightly injured and had to be rescued from the car by the fire department via the sunroof. She was taken by the rescue to the Salzkammergut Clinic in Bad Ischl.

Your car is likely a total loss. The 73-year-old’s car was also significantly damaged, but fortunately the man was not injured.
