The Palestinian who was shot to death this morning (Thursday) by a reservist during a suspicious arrest procedure was actually Ger Tzedek from the court house of Rabbi Nissim Karlitz, it was announced in the last few hours.
The incident took place this morning near Hebron, when a reservist identified a suspect who got off a Palestinian taxi at a bus station.
The reservist began interrogating the man, and during his interrogation he carried out a suspicious arrest procedure that included shooting at his lower body. The Palestinian was mortally wounded and pronounced dead on the ground. In the inspection carried out in the case, a knife was found, it was learned this morning.
However, in the last hour the event took a particularly unfortunate turn, when the true identity of the 63-year-old Palestinian Sameh Zeitoun was revealed.
In the letter released by Rabbi Nissim Karlitz’s court, it is written that Sameh Zeyton “converted at the Rabbinical Court on the 26th day of Elul 579 by preaching the blood of the covenant, being baptized and accepting the yoke as a legal mitzvot, And his name was called in Israel: David son of Abraham, our father.”

Journalist Doron Kadosh described that Zeyton was known among the Jews of Hebron who said that his grandfather had saved Jews during the 1975 riots and he decided to follow his path.
David studied his Judaism at the Meir Institute in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem, but was rejected by the state when he applied for Israeli citizenship.
Moreover, it turns out that the rabbinical courts refused to allow David, then Samech, to convert as a religion and therefore went through the conversion process at the court in Bnei Brak.
The spokesman for the Jewish settlement in Hebron, Noam Arnon, described to ‘ynet’: “He asked to go through an accepted conversion procedure, but the Israeli conversion authorities are not prepared to accept an application from a Western resident of the Land of Israel. He tried once more and once more, to no avail. In the end, he was able to be accepted into a conversion program At the conversion court of Rabbi Karlitz in Bnei Brak. After a lengthy and thorough procedure, he passed the procedure, received permission to convert, and his name in Israel was called – David ben Avraham.”
After his conversion, David was arrested by the Palestinian Authority and even suffered severe torture and beatings during his arrest. Even when he was asked by Muslim clerics to retract his decision to join the people of Hashem, David refused to listen to their voice and said that he disagreed with the Jewish people.
“I did not agree in any way,” David said several years ago when he described the dark period. “I chose to be part of the Jewish people, and I have no intention of going back. I suffered a lot, they gave me bread as dry as a stone and a little potato. Not even a mouse can survive that. They didn’t give me water, I fainted three times, and then they took me out of the dungeon and took me home patients”.
The Military Police – MACH announced that it has opened an investigation following the death of the “Palestinian”, the IDF spokesman said: “During an operational activity, an IDF force fired at a Palestinian who aroused his suspicions at Elazar Junction in the Etzion Brigade, an injury was detected and later determined The death of the Palestinian. Immediately upon receiving the report regarding the serious incident, the military attorney’s office ordered the opening of an investigation by the military police.”
