Indonesian women’s SINGLES, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung managed to win over Taiwan’s representative, Wen Chi Hsu in the 2024 Swiss Open tournament.
Gregoria won in two straight games over Wen Chi Hsu with a score of 21-12, 21-15 at St. Jakobshalle, Switzerland.
Not only Gregoria, the pair Rehan Naufal K/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati also won over the German pair, Malik Bourakkadi/Leona Michalski.
Rehan/Lisa closed the first game with a landslide score of 21-4. In the second game, they won once more by a landslide with a score of 21-9 and ensured victory in the match.
Meanwhile, bad results were obtained from other Indonesian women’s singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani and Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo were immediately eliminated in the tournament.
Putri had to lose to Thailand’s representative, Pornpawee Chochuwong in a match of two straight games with a score of 11-21 and 10-21.
Meanwhile, Ester had to accept defeat from Vietnam’s representative, Nguyen Thuy Linh, following playing three games. Ester was confirmed to lose with the final scores, 16-21, 21-19, and 19-21.
Another bad result was also experienced by the pair, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari who played once morest the Taiwanese pair, Ye Hong Wei/Lee Chia Hsin. Rinov/Pitha lost in three games, 21-19, 15-21, 15-21. (Z-3)
