Prince William pulled out of event last month due to Kate’s diagnosis, Kensington Palace says
By Max Foster
Prince William withdrew last month from attending a memorial service at Windsor Castle for the late Greek King Constantine due to his wife’s cancer diagnosis, Kensington Palace confirmed Saturday. King Constantine was William’s godfather.
A royal source told CNN that it is “incorrect” to say that the family learned of Catherine, Princess of Wales’s diagnosis just before the tribute to King Constantine.
The princess began preventive chemotherapy in late February, a royal source told CNN on Saturday.
Kensington Palace is not expected to reveal further medical details such as the type of cancer or what stage it is in.

It was a bold move. This is someone who gets nervous talking in front of cameras, let alone regarding such a deeply personal matter. But the video, simply filmed on a bench in front of spring foliage, showed the Princess of Wales earnestly sharing her story on her own terms and in her own words.
