Little Nemo, a lighting company founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina, has come a long way, then taken over (in 2006) by the then Poltrona Frau Group and then sold by it (in 2012) to Omikron, a company founded by Federico Palazzari in early 2000s. With the new name of Nemo Lighting, the company grew rapidly enough to enter, in 2019, with a minority shareholding in the Austrian Zumtobel, one of the largest international groups in the sector (with 6 thousand employees and a turnover of approximately 1.2 billion euros)
The following year he took over from Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) a small Turin company, Ilti Luce, specialized in customized lighting products and systems for the architectural sector, giving life to Nemo Studio, headed by Andrea Spallino. At the same time, it opens an office in France and one in the United States, as well as a branch in Denmark. At the end of 2022 Nemo Lighting exceeded 28 million euros in turnover, with around 90 employees in the various offices and exports that exceed 75% of production.

A new lighting hub
Hence, the choice to also give a new name to this project: thus Nemo Group was born, a container of these three companies, which in recent years have developed through a managerial approach and a specific product and communication identity, as well as lots of research into design and innovation.
The group’s challenge is to offer, in the various segments of the lighting sector, the design strength of Nemo Lighting, combined with the technical and lighting solutions of ILTI Luce and Reggiani, for projects in the hospitality, retail and museum sectors.
