Schillaci then addressed one of the most critical issues in Italian healthcare: “Waiting lists are the worst calling card of the National Health Service. Today, however, we do not have precise data. A year and a half for an exam is unacceptable, but we do not have region-by-region monitoring of the missing performances. But we need to see where and how long the waiting lists are. However, it is unacceptable that there is no single Cup for exams and visits in the public and private sector”.
