Moscow. March 22. INTERFAX.RU – According to preliminary information, 40 people were killed as a result of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall entertainment complex, the FSB reported.
At the moment, more than 100 victims are known, the security service added.
The department noted that all possible measures are being taken to provide prompt assistance to the victims.
The intelligence services are carrying out operational search operations, the FSB Central Operations Center reported.
According to operational services, in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk in the evening, unknown armed people opened fire, then a fire started in the building.
Based on the fact of the incident, the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act).
