The team of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has announced that his funeral will take place on March 1 in Moscow. The information was confirmed by Navalni’s spokesperson, Kira Yarmish, on the social network X.
Navalni’s team has reported that for two days they have had difficulties finding a space to hold a public farewell to the opponent. Finally, it has been confirmed that both the death mass and the politician’s burial will take place on Friday.
Navalny’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya, has expressed concern regarding the possibility of police arresting those attending the funeral. In an appearance before the European Parliament, Navalnaya has asked parliamentarians to innovate and stop being boring if they want to defeat Putin.
Yulia Navalnaya has demanded that Putin answer for the murder of her husband, for the war in Ukraine and for the suffering of the Russian people. “Evil will fall and the beautiful future will come,” she concluded.
The Kremlin has denied any involvement in Navalny’s death and has assured that it has no information regarding the alleged preparations for an exchange of the opponent for Krasikov.
Navalny’s death certificate indicates that the opposition leader died on February 16 from “natural causes,” but his relatives and followers reject this official version and accuse the Kremlin of ordering his murder.
