Apparently no one can come close to David Alaba!
The French “L’Equipe” recently published the supposed salary list from the Spanish La Liga – the ÖFB star is at the top. The 31-year-old Viennese is expected to earn a gross monthly salary of an incredible 1.88 million euros at Real Madrid. In total, the figures result in an annual salary of 22.56 million euros.
Alaba, who is currently suffering from a torn cruciate ligament, might possibly be displaced in the Spanish Croesus ranking by a certain Kylian Mbappe in the future. The Frenchman has been linked with a summer move to Madrid and is reportedly set to earn a whopping 20 million euros net (!).
Better salary than Real’s offensive stars
Meanwhile, in second place is a former teammate of the ex-Bayern star – Robert Lewandowski. The Polish top striker is said to earn only 10,000 euros less per month at FC Barcelona than Alaba, i.e. 1.87 million euros. This corresponds to an annual salary of 22.44 million euros.
There are also four well-known professionals, Ilkay Gündogan from FC Barcelona, Real superstars Vinicius and Jude Bellingham and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who will each receive a monthly income of 1.67 million euros.
Aside from the joy of the monthly windfall, Alaba is currently concerned with recovering as quickly as possible in order to be able to jump on the ÖFB team’s European Championship bandwagon.
