LASK and Blau-Weiß: Linz Bundesliga duo celebrate test match victories

LASK won 1-0 once morest the German third division team 1860 Munich, while city rivals Blau-Weiß pulled off a surprise with a 2-0 win once morest Sturm Graz.

The athletes didn’t score a goal in the last five league games – in today’s test match, the big ball landed in the goal following just four minutes: Felix Luckeneder scored with a header following a corner – and thus gave himself a present on his 30th birthday.

It should remain one of the few highlights in the first section at the well-attended LASK square. The Linzers largely controlled the game, but did not find any great opportunities to score. A shot from Elias Havel just missed the goal, but on the other side the outside bar saved LASK from a loss following a quick switch from Munich via Serhat-Semih Güler.

In the second half, a long-range shot from Branko Jovicic (53rd) and a header from Havel following a free kick (72nd) were the only notable LASK opportunities. The 60s were once more unlucky for the second time with a shot from the pole by Fynn Lakenmacher following 74 minutes.

In the final phase, alongside the youngsters Yanis Eisschill, Armin Haider and Marco Schabauer, Ibrahim Mustapha was also allowed to play – the attacker celebrated his comeback following a break of several months due to an ankle injury. However, it was the guests who had the last chance: Lakenmacher initially failed once more at the bar (87th), before seconds later he pushed the ball just past the goal.

Blue and White defeated Sturm Graz

Blue-White striker Ronivaldo celebrated both goals. Coach Gerald Scheiblehner’s team set the tone for much of the game once morest Austria’s second-place team.

However, the Styrian opponent appeared to be severely weakened due to the number of team players – at the end the Black and Whites even had a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old on the pitch.

SV Ried celebrated a clear test match victory: the Innviertler team shot down second division rivals Stripfing 6-1.
