This weekend, the National Institute of Statistics (INE) will kick off the deployment of the 2024 Census, a new edition of the data collection survey that brings with it new characteristics that are far from what was seen in previous years, such as a new modus operandi, new uniforms and a QR identification badge. Furthermore, it will not be necessary for the interviewer to enter the address in question.

The survey contains 50 questions and its data will be computed on a cell phone with INE marking that only has functions enabled for the survey, without any other purpose. This edition of the survey will take regarding 25 thousand census takers to the streets who will carry out the work gradually over three months.

The main Census operation begins on Saturday, March 9.

At the end of February, some operations were carried out in more extreme and difficult-to-access areas.

The 2024 Census questionnaire has a total of 50 questions distributed in four modules: Housing data, household data, registration of household members and personal data.
