Russian and Belarusian athletes were not allowed to participate in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris. This was reported by the International Olympic Committee.

“Individual neutral athletes with a Russian or Belarusian passport will not participate in the parade of delegations (teams) during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games #Paris2024, as they are individual athletes,” the message says.
