Many negative comments were received by UEFA people regarding the Panachaki stadium, which hosted the games of the U-17 National team for the 4th Group of the Elite Round.
UEFA officials had no complaints regarding the quality of the pitch, which was in very good condition, but made special mention of the facility as a whole.
“The facility is very old and many things need to be done. Especially, the dressing room, the stands and the toilets are in a bad condition”, they said. In fact, some girls from the Swiss mission didn’t even find paper in the toilets!
Regarding Panachaiki and because the margins have narrowed and no more extensions are going to be given, a fairly large amount will have to be spent in order for the stadium to get a permit for the new season.
The information states that a series of works must be carried out so that the “red and black” get the “okay” for the next season as well, because this time no one is going to be spared, not only in Panachaiki, but in any team.
Obviously, it is an issue that PGE and Panachai should look at together, as some studies have already been done that showed how much work is needed.
It is an issue that Panachaki should keep in mind regardless of the outcome of this season.
