Artificial intelligences, the new frontiers. On newsstands March 20th

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the most important fair dedicated to mobile technology that ended a few weeks ago, artificial intelligence was, of course, the main trend this year. Manufacturers of smartphones, processors, operators and operating systems displayed the acronym “Ai”.

2024 is a big year for generative AI. In 2023, she came to the world’s attention. Now it’s time to put it to the test. Are companies using it? As? On the supply side, what has happened between the advent of ChatGpt and today? What changes for professional firms? How to deal with risks such as hallucinations, errors, and effects on employment?

The guide «Artificial intelligence, the new frontiers for professions, companies, markets» – on newsstands on 20 March – was created to try to answer these questions by bringing concrete examples of the use of technologies, with a collection of articles published in the Sole 24 Ore in recent months and some unpublished.

A few days ago the European Parliament approved the Ai Act, which has a world record as an organic law. It places respect and the centrality of the human person at the center.

The guide also finds space for geopolitical issues. The Italian government has announced that it will put 1.1 billion into creating a national champion. France started first. The United States is, once once more, where it all began. While China, and also India, move forward, with systems that perhaps will never reach us, increasing the distances.
