PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) POLITICIAN Adian Napitupulu emphasized that there were no instructions to the faction to withdraw from the right to inquiry regarding fraud in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
“PDI Perjuangan is not afraid of the right to inquiry. Constitutionally there is a questionnaire. I have also never been asked to withdraw from the right to inquiry,” said Adian in a written statement quoted on Sunday (17/3).
The member of Commission VII of the DPR said that PDIP was consistently taking steps forward to make the questionnaire a reality. It is claimed that an academic manuscript of more than 100 pages has been prepared and is in the stage of strengthening its arguments.
Adian also emphasized that PDIP is also communicating with its coalition partner, namely the United Development Party (PPP). The supporter of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD, emphasized that they have no doubts regarding the right to inquiry.
“There is absolutely no doubt. The right to inquiry is more the task of parliament. Proof at the right to inquiry and at the Constitutional Court is different. We will summon all related parties,” said Adian.
He said that the right to inquiry highlights whether or not there is misuse of laws (UU), including the Election Law and misuse of the APBN. For example, the budget for social assistance (bansos), whether or not state apparatus is mobilized to win one of the contestants.
“Whether the right of inquiry will highlight fraud is not the domain of the right of inquiry, but in its dialectics it is possible to talk regarding fraud. Never be afraid when walking on the constitutional rails. Never scare the people. The constitution cannot be fearful,” said Adian. (Z-3)
