Staikouras: “Green light for 40 new recruitments of drivers in OASTH” – New transport model in Thessaloniki

According to iefimerida, on the occasion of his visit, Mr. Staikouras stated:

“I had the opportunity today to travel by train from Athens to Lianokladi. A full train, in which additional carriages were added to meet the increased demand. At the same time, here in Lianokladi, we saw the remote control and signaling systems that operate on the entire railway axis from Athens to Thessaloniki, with the exception of the section that has been damaged by the “Daniel” flood and which will be repaired in a permanent and upgraded way in next period of time.

I ask all those involved in the chain of the railway project, to demonstrate a higher individual and collective responsibility, so that, in addition to new technologies, we upgrade the safety of movements and transports and strengthen the quality of the services provided”.
