Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Cairo together with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday.
THE Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Cairo with its President European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo, the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidis, the Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer and the Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni.
At 13:15 the prime minister will have a bilateral meeting with the president of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
At 14:30 there will be a meeting of the European leaders with the president of Egypt and extended talks of the countries’ delegations will follow.
At 17:15 the leaders will make statements to the press.
According to iefimerida, it is recalled that Kyriakos Mitsotakis has long highlighted the importance of a strategic partnership between the European Union and Egypt, while he was the first European leader to highlight the importance of Egypt for the European Union and for stability in the area, a few days following the terrorist attacks by Hamas once morest Israel.
