The Association of Parents and Guardians of the Municipality of Aegialia continues its rich program of carnival events with the well-established and now beloved “Night Walk”, which will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
Young and old carnival-goers pour into the streets to parade and generously “transmit” to everyone a unique Halloween mood!
The starting point and the gathering will be in the old port of Aigio. Bands and carnival performers will start at 7pm. and will cross the streets of Zoodochou Pigi, Kanellopoulou, N. Plastira, Iisodion, Ag. Andreou (beginning), Metropolis.
Throughout the route, carnival music will be played from special moving platforms. Carnivalists, with any costume, group, and also companies, can join the parade at any of the aforementioned points.
Among the groups that have already signed up are the following: “With meatballs and lemons, Temeni everyone shouts” – Temeni Cultural Association, “Tis …oil paint the railing” – Hairdresser, “Adam’s Family” – The musicArts / Cheerleaders Estrellas, ” Athletes, young and old, go to Carnival” – A.O. Aegialeon. School groups that took part in the Aegialia Children’s Carnival will also participate.
Ending at Ypsilon Alonia Square where there will be a big Halloween party and a concert by the band ABOVE SUSPICION who will present us with a rich program of hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s.
It is a six-member Patronian music group that moves musically and stylistically in the genres of Greek and foreign Pop-Rock, Funky, Disco & artistic Greek song. They have performed a series of performances such as at the Patras International Festival at the Castle of Rio, the Concert of the Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Patreon for the lighting of the Christmas tree in George I Square as well as at the closing ceremony of the Patreon Carnival 2023 at the Pier of Ag. Nikolaou together with 1550.
Above Suspicion consists of: Hara Kallivokas (vocals), Dimitris Rigas (bass), Andreas Zarkadakis (electric guitar), Dionysios Touliatos (keyboards), Andreas Milas (drums), Fotis Kalinderis (saxophone).
