According to an insider Tom Hendersonnext part Battlefield takes a more predictable and safer approach.
The insider did not specify what this was regarding, but in the case of Battlefield 2042 the developers made several radical departures from previous installments of the franchise, which were subsequently poorly received and led to the game’s disastrous launch.
This includes, among other things, the abandonment of a single-player story campaign, the introduction of matches for 128 players and a specialist system instead of the usual classes, as well as a departure from the focus on destruction.
According to vacancies Ripple Effectthe new Battlefield will implement “the most realistic and exciting destruction effects in the industry“, indicating the return of another classic element that was abandoned in BF2024. However, the game is also expected to feature a free-to-play battle royale style Call of Duty: Warzone.
Unfortunately, in recent weeks, EA has not been delivering the most positive news related to Battlefield. Recently the company closed studio Ridgeline Games by Markus Lehtowho was working on future single-player content within the franchise, and the team DICE creative director left Craig Morrison.
