Kenitra Stellantis Factory Expansion: Driving the African Market Forward

The excavators are out in Kenitra this sunny morning. Located less than 60 kilometers from Rabat as the crow flies, the Stellantis factory is under construction. Everywhere, concrete piles have sprung up, a sign that the site inaugurated in 2019 – from which Peugeot 208s and electric quadricycles (Citroën Ami, Fiat Topolino and Opel Rocks) come out – is already expanding.

With an investment of 300 million euros, its production capacity is expected to double, to 450,000 vehicles per year. Nearby, several dozen suppliers have come to set up especially for the occasion, such as Forvia (formerly Faurecia) or Plastic Omnium, which should soon do the same.
