They are competitors on the track, but friends off it: Manuel Feller and Atle Lie McGrath.
This season, especially in the slalom, the two had exciting duels, usually with ball winner Feller coming out on top. But the Norwegian always proves to be a fair sportsman and is happy with Feller. McGrath is a member of the Tyrolean’s Norwegian fan club.
It all started at the night slalom in Schladming last year. Lucas Braathen, who was still driving for Norway at the time, surprised everyone at the start number draw with a T-shirt with the print “Manuel Feller Fanclub Norway”. Braathen also presented this in the race in the leader’s chair. A Norwegian had already founded the fan club.
Now Feller has also joined a fan club, namely the “Atle Lie McGrath Fan Club Steiermark”. “I am the first member following the founders,” Feller writes on Instagram regarding a photo that shows him and McGrath in fan club shirts.
