JAKARTA – Famous Indonesian director, Hanung Bramantyo, is working on a drama genre film entitled God, Allow Me to Sin. The production house, MVP Pictures, held a special screening event for the film at the Blok M cinema area, South Jakarta.

When met at the event, one of the players, Donny Damara, who plays Tomo, admitted that he was happy because the special screening of the film God, Allow Me to Sin, was attended by many spectators. Apart from Donny, Djenar Maesa Ayu was also present.
“I just feel happy that they were able to do it, one is to spare themselves during fasting time, the second is that we hope that both of us here and all those who made this film can appreciate it well, can take the common thread, the message, and what we want to convey from this joint work. ,” said Donny Damara, Saturday 16 March 2024.
Donny also talked regarding the character Tomo he played, which he felt was challenging and not easy. However, thanks to working with the team, Donny was able to play the character very well.
“It was really (challenging) how he (Tomo) had to act as her lecturer, act as her boyfriend, then become her pimp,” said Donny.
“We did the reading process, the manuscript review process together, and fortunately we also talked a lot with our friends too. The timeline for when he was a lecturer, for me myself, it was a bit difficult at that time, but over time it just happened. , carry on,” he added.
Donny undergoes training first before doing certain scenes. For the love scene he played with Aghniny Haque, Donny admitted that he made an agreement first.
“Luckily we had several rehearsals, quite a lot of choreography for several scenes that used other equipment. Likewise for the love scene, I made an appointment with Aghniny. ‘Okay, I’ll touch here, I’ll touch this, I’ll touch this, you, So you just have to react.’ Just promise like that, promise,” said Donny.
“The love scene is a challenge so that we don’t get too vulgar,” he added.
