The Grand Mosque of Paris announced on Saturday that the amount of Zakat al-Fitr for this year (1445 AH/2024 AD) was set at seven (7) euros per dependent. That of Fidyah is a minimum of five (5) euros per day of compensation. A press release recalls that alms are paid to the needy from the first day of Ramadan, according to the Hanafi school, or from the 26th day of the blessed month, according to the Maliki school, and this before the prayer of Eid al- Fitr.
The same source also recalls the various options for paying alms to the Grand Mosque of Paris, namely by an online donation, by bank transfer to the Society of Habous and Holy Places of Islam, or even by check payable to La Grande mosque.
In its press release, the latter emphasizes that in addition to fasting, the month of Ramadan is that of sharing, solidarity and generosity par excellence, hence the duty to assist others.
