Florida Governor Ron DeSantis took a radical measure to stop the irregular migratory flow along its coasts. In fact, he gave the precise order to militarize the keys in the south of the state (Monroe County) in order to face the wave of rfollowings arriving from the Caribbean.

The Florida minister initially ordered the mobilization of more than 250 officers and soldiers who will be in charge of repelling the massive arrival of Haitian migrants. According to him, it has emerged that Haiti is on the verge of a civil war due to the serious situation of violence that country is experiencing.

Meanwhile, the military deployment is already arranged and the strategies drawn up. The troops include officers from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, as well as members of the National and State Guard. The forces will be located in strategic areas where Haitian migrants traditionally stop.

DeSantis himself commented on the delicate topic. “For quite some time now, Florida has been dedicating significant resources to combating illegal vessels arriving from countries like Haiti. Given the current circumstances, additional troops will be deployed as the Coast Guard does not receive enough federal funding and we cannot allow illegal aliens to come to Florida.”

Cuban rfollowings injured

Although, evidently, the measure is aimed at stopping the illegal flow of Haitian migrants, all those who intend to enter the United States will be detained by the military. This includes Cuban rfollowings who persist in trying to arrive in Florida aboard rustic boats and in an irregular manner.

Cuban rfollowings run the risk of being deported to the Island, as has happened with many who entered the United States by sea. Some are returned immediately. Others, although they obtained a conditional release, are detained once more by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE), which transports them to Havana on deportation flights.
