France Employment Agencies Hacked: Data of 43 Million People Leaked – Stay Vigilant Against Cyber Attacks

France’s public labor office reported a serious cyber attack. During the attack, hackers obtained information on more than two-thirds of the entire population – 43 million people.

French employment agencies France Travail and Cap Emploi on Thursday was announcedthat they fell victim to an intrusion into their information systems.

Among the leaked personal data first and last names, social security numbers, France Travail employment agency identifiers, e-mail and postal addresses and telephone numbers – announced the French data protection agency, CNIL. According to Cap Emploi, the date of birth was also leaked.

According to the authorities, malicious actors did not gain access to passwords and bank data.
