JAYLEN Brown scored 37 points when the Boston Celtics appeared dominant and won 127-112 over the Phoenix Suns in the NBA match, Friday (15/3) WIB.

The Celtics’ three mainstay players, Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Al Horford scored a total of 87 points in a brilliant performance once morest the Suns, who were trying to avenge the 117-107 defeat they suffered when they hosted the Celtics, last Sunday (10/3).

Tatum finished with 26 points while Horford added 24 points as the Celtics moved closer to securing the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings entering the playoffs.

The Celtics peppered the Suns with three-pointers, hitting 25 of their 50 attempts while the Suns hit just 11 of their 31 attempts.

Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring with 23 points, followed by Bradley Beal with 22 points. Kevin Durant and Grayson Allen both scored 20 points.

Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla praised Brown’s performance in the match once morest the Suns.

“I think he underlined his ability as an all-round player,” Mazzulla said.

“He is a player with a defensive mentality. Once he defends well, he launches attacks and that is very beneficial for us.”

“He can score points once morest anyone. He can play defense and attack. It’s really fun to see,” he continued.

The Celtics now have a win-loss record of 52-14, 9.5 games ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Bucks at the top of the Eastern Conference standings. (AFP/Z-1)
