The British company Menzies Aviation, part of the Agility group, received a ground handling license to provide passenger and ramp services at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM). After a bidding process, the company was awarded an 8-year contract to provide these services, becoming one of the three ground handling companies at said airport.
As one of the main measures, the company will launch a local recruitment campaign to respond to demand and will ensure that all employees receive the most demanding training to offer safer services to customers.
Philipp Joeinig, CEO of Menzies Aviation, commented that over the last decade, they have focused on strategic growth in the region. “With the introduction of the Jorge Chávez International Airport, we made it the 134th airport in 14 countries in America. “We are looking forward to returning to Peru following 17 years (…) to work with many of our partner airlines that currently operate at the airport,” said the executive.
