Unknown people tried to disrupt voting for the new president of the Russian Federation at at least ten polling stations in Yekaterinburg. A source in the emergency services told URA.RU regarding this and was confirmed by two interlocutors close to the election organizing committee.
“Ten schools and several kindergartens received reports of mining,” the first source shared. He knows the number of one of the schools – 147 (Zheleznodorozhny district). They allegedly received a message that up to 200 buildings had been mined throughout the city. Polling stations did not stop work, the police carried out an inspection, and the threats were not confirmed.
“According to my information, false miners attacked schools in the Zheleznodorozhny and Verkh-Isetsky districts. But we have a clear response algorithm: before opening, the areas are inspected by sappers, and followingward, everyone entering is checked in the presence of police officers. So, when any such message is received, a visual inspection of a very limited space is sufficient,” explained the second source.
