Music played an important role in his life. “It was my escape, it was my outlet, but I didn’t know that, I found out later,” confides the singer who was judged a lot on her physique in her early days. Her mother pushed her a lot to sing. “And one day, she said to dad: ‘You know, you should listen to Chimène, I think there’s something happening’. And then I’m going to continue to grow, to sing,” she confides before adding that she locked herself in her room to “forget everything we experience when we are in college”.
