Senator Andrés Guerra spoke about the health reform, prior to the Hearing of Autonomous Regions

The senator of the Democratic Center, Andrés Guerra, spoke regarding the strategy of the opposition versus that of the National Government, regarding the health reform.

“They are shuffling once more, making their strategy and it is very clear. It bothers them a lot that the strategy is counted and today the strategy is to let Easter pass, and to practically enter the two and a half months of the June 20 closing of the sessions of the Congress period and try to insist with the barrel of the pigs, so much so that Gustavo Petro insisted on playing that game and today he does it with various political sectors of the country,” said the Senator.

For its part, if the reform continues as presented, the opposition will continue to insist on no quorum.

The congressman from the Democratic Center expressed that from that community, we consider that a review of the system is necessary, but that the Government reform is not what is needed.

Guerra mentioned that “Health in rural areas should be reviewed, the priority in levels one and two, levels three in essential areas of the territory, but what we are asking is that a general review be carried out and that we can maintain the system that 30 years in the country.”

He added that if this is the case, the Democratic Center might consider the possibility of accompanying the Government, but if not, they will continue in opposition.
