The Galaxy A55 was launched today in Brazil and DxOMark has already got its hands on one to evaluate how its camera fares alongside other intermediaries. The result was very positive with the Samsung smartphone managing to surpass several devices from Apple, Xiaomi and Motorola in terms of score.
According to DxOMark, the Galaxy A55 has a camera with some improvements compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A54. It still suffers from some instabilities in autofocus and exposure in dark environments, which creates additional noise and inaccurate color rendering.
The same can be noticed when using zoom with limited dynamic range and low effectiveness of video stabilization when walking around recording, but these problems disappear in well-lit environments or when the video is recorded with the user standing in one place.
Overall, the Galaxy A55 shows some improvements compared to the A54, mainly in the ultrawide camera with greater dynamic range in well-lit outdoor or indoor environments.
