Israel is preparing for a scenario of expanding war between itself and Hezbollah, as if it is inevitable. Plans to enhance the army’s capabilities and ensure the continuity of life in the Hebrew entity, both financially and financially, are underway.

In this context, Israeli media confirmed that the army began preparing for Operation “Solid Anchor” and requested reinforcements for the soldiers fighting on the border with Lebanon, in addition to providing collective shelters for tens of thousands of Israelis. The Hebrew channel “Kan” reported that Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen held an emergency discussion in preparation for the scenario of the possibility of a large-scale power outage in Israel in the event of an all-out war with Hezbollah, amid “estimations that the power might be cut off from 60% of the country for a period of no more than a month.” Less than 24-48 hours,” noting that “the electricity company has increased its reserves of coal and alternative fuels in preparation for this, and the relevant officials have communicated with their Ukrainian counterparts to learn lessons from the Ukrainian experience in the war with Russia.”

Also, the Israeli media reported information from Israeli sources that Transportation Minister Miri Regev sent a delegation on Monday to Cyprus to establish an Israeli port simulating security scenarios at a cost estimated at hundreds of millions of shekels, and requested that this be implemented immediately. According to the “Israel Hayom” newspaper, “Contrary to previous reports, the central goal of establishing this port is not to transport aid to the Gaza Strip, but rather to confront a situation in which work in the Haifa port would be disrupted in the event of a comprehensive war between Israel and Hezbollah. Establishing the Israeli port in “Cyprus is an Israeli preparation for an all-out war in the north, and this port is an urgent necessity to prevent a situation in which goods and other supplies will stop arriving to Israel during the war.”

In contrast to this active Israeli movement in preparation for the worst scenario, Hezbollah confirms that it is ready to surprise Israel militarily, but the Lebanese state has not prepared at any level for the “war” option. Official Lebanon confirms, “We are ready for war if it is imposed on us.”

Where are these preparations? Today, the Lebanese state is barely able to meet the needs of the displaced from the border villages in the south, in the schools to which they migrated, in terms of food, drink, and sleep.

Also, Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirms that he is continuing his contacts with international powers to avoid war, but Tel Aviv does not heed all calls for calm, and continues to prepare “practically” for war. Could Mikati intervene with Hezbollah, for example? Can the latter do what he must do to spare the Lebanese a confrontation that they and their country are not equipped to face?!
