Ciments du Maroc continues its commitment to decarbonization. The company is preparing to launch a new product that responds in accordance with this orientation and in line with its program to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Called “Evobuild”, this range is made up of low-carbon products.

This launch is part of the plan to maximize the use of alternative fuels and promote low-carbon materials. This policy complements numerous initiatives carried out with local communities. The announcement of this launch comes on the sidelines of the communication of the company’s financial results for the 2024 financial year. The company has managed to achieve good performance despite the national economic context marked by high inflation. combined with a significant hydrometric deficit as well as a construction sector which did not experience the expected recovery over the financial year and a stable cement market compared to December 31, 2022.

It showed an increase of 7.6% compared to the end of 2022 to reach 1.42 billion dirhams. The net result for its part amounted to 994 million dirhams, thus showing an improvement of 77 million dirhams year-on-year, an increase of 8.3% compared to the previous year. The gross operating surplus also rose to 1.65 billion dirhams compared to 1.58 billion dirhams a year earlier, marking an increase of 4.2% compared to the end of 2022. Regarding the The company’s self-financing capacity stands at 1.17 billion dirhams, up 2.2% compared to the previous year.

It should be noted that Ciments du Maroc actively participated in supporting the victims of the earthquake which struck the Al Haouz region on September 8, 2023, through the involvement of its teams in the delivery of equipment and food. and also by a donation to the Special Fund for Managing the Effects of the Earthquake.
