DRC-Médias: Deutsche Welle and B-One Télévision sign a co-production partnership for the show Eco-Afrique

Kinshasa, March 14, 2024 – The official German media Deutsche Welle and the private Congolese channel B-one signed, Wednesday March 13, in the facilities of the Kinshasa channel, a co-production contract for the show Eco-Afrique. The aim of this co-production is to organize debates on food security in the DRC.

During this solemn ceremony, Peter Limbourg, general director of DW (Deutsche Welle) indicated that this program will inform the public regarding environmental issues.

For him, this collaboration will promote constructive journalism, helping entrepreneurs to earn money based on good initiatives.

The B-one chain, represented by its general manager Guy Ntoto, said it was satisfied with this partnership which brings added value with this new ecological program.

A co-production of the show Eco-Afrique”. This is the term of the contract that the B-ONE television channel signed in Kinshasa with Deutsche Welle. This co-production is designed around food security in the DRC. The two organizations formalized this partnership in the presence of several agro-industrial operators.

The signed contract only grants B-ONE the animation and moderation part of the show. And the other part devoted to assembly will be done in Germany.

Éco Afrique presents environmental initiatives that move the boundaries in Africa and Europe.

Éco Afrique aims to protect the oceans and promote renewable energies.

The show is presented as a panel. It highlights innovative ideas that address current environmental issues and challenges.

Present at this ceremony, Mimie Engumba, President of the Technical Commission of the High Council for Audiovisual and Communication, welcomed this initiative.

She raised during the panel debate the question that must be taken into account on the safety of food consumers.

Several other guests took part in this ceremony. Panelists paraded to explain the merits of this initiative.

It should be remembered that Eco Afrique is a production of Deutsche Welle (DW), in collaboration with its partners such as RDV du Senegal and today B-one in DR. Congo, for its French-speaking version.

Channels TV from Nigeria and NTV from Uganda co-produce the English version, while SOICO TV from Mozambique is a partner for the Portuguese version.
