BBN Airlines Indonesia Gets Scheduled Flight Permit

BBN Airlines Indonesia, as part of the Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) provider, has just received additional Air Operation Certificates (AOC) for commercial passenger flights from the Indonesian Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

The addition of this certificate confirms the airline’s readiness to operate aircraft for commercial purposes, as well as strengthening the company’s commitment to meeting the needs of the Indonesian people in providing safe, reliable and efficient aviation services.

“With this AOC, the Ministry of Transportation has stated that BBN Airlines Indonesia is suitable and meets regulatory standards to open commercial passenger flight services which will start operating immediately in March 2024. Later, BBN Airlines Indonesia will provide an air travel experience with high standards of safety and service ,” said Chairman of BBN Airlines Indonesia, Martynas Grigas.

According to Martynas, the addition of this certification is the first step for BBN Airlines Indonesia to meet the large demand for flights, especially ahead of major holidays such as Idul Fitri and the holiday season in Indonesia.

“Apart from the quite large demand for domestic flights, high demand for flights also comes from India and China. For this reason, BBN Airlines Indonesia has arranged its operational area which includes Asia & the Oceania region, so that the company not only serves domestic needs, but also requests from other countries. -neighboring countries in the region,” added Martynas.

To date, BBN Airlines Indonesia has prepared a fleet of 3 Boeing 737-800s to serve passenger charter requests, and 3 cargo aircraft with a fleet of Boeing 737-800s and Boeing 737-400s to serve domestic and international flights. With an existing fleet and high demand, BBN Airlines Indonesia targets to operate a fleet of 40 aircraft by 2027.
