The Chancellor assumed that the Union MPs, who asked him regarding further contradictions in his argument, knew more regarding the Taurus problem than they were publicly admitting. Of course, this impression is conveyed above all by Scholz himself, who claims to have already foreseen a lot. What does the Chancellor know that everyone in the opposition, but also in his coalition and even in his cabinet, who support the delivery of the Taurus to the Ukrainians does not know?
Scholz once once more pointed out how important it was to him to keep in step with the Americans, on whose support Germany depends more than ever because Putin is threatening, as he is now doing once more, to use his nuclear weapons. Should Biden, who also doesn’t want to get into a war with Russia, have ordered Scholz to keep his hands off the Taurus? At least this chancellor would never admit that.
