After a serious explosion in a restaurant east of the Chinese capital Beijing, the death toll has risen from two to seven. The accident occurred on Wednesday in the middle of the morning rush hour in a restaurant in the town of Yanjiao, which belongs to the city of Sanhe. The building on a commercial street was completely destroyed, and surrounding houses and cars were badly damaged. The fire department said it sent more than 150 rescue workers to the scene of the accident. Videos circulated on social media showing an explosion in a building – apparently the one in Yanjiao.
