In the midst of the enormous delays with the distribution of products from the regulated basket in Cuba, those that are sold through the supply book in the warehouses, some Cuban provinces have reported this week how milk and bread will be distributed, the most demanded foods and with the most problems in recent weeks.
This is the case of Matanzas, in the west of the island. For information purposes, we detail what the government of that western Cuban province published on its social networks, which does not mean that it exactly adjusts to daily reality.
According to this information, Matanzas will have improvements in the distribution of bread from the winery in the coming days, as reported by the vice governor, Marieta Poey, on her profile on the social network Facebook. For example, bread for children from one year up to 13 years, 11 months and 29 days will have a frequency of six days a week, 70 grams. This is the situation of bread and milk in Cuba.
“The rest of the population of all municipalities, four days a week, 70 grams (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). The children’s circles in two sections of 40 grams. Also for homes for the elderly, physically disabled, hospitals and boarding schools,” they stated.

Regarding the distribution of milk in the province of Matanzas, they argued the following. With the entry of six tons of powdered milk into the territory, starting today the daily distribution of a bottle of milk for children between three and six years old would be restored throughout the province.
“The distribution of powdered milk for children from zero to six months begins today with coverage until March 20,” they stated. In other words, normality will last only a week in this case.
The situation of bread and milk in other provinces of Cuba is much worse than in this case, some like Villa Clara, bread is given on alternate days. In others, especially in the east of the country, the chaos with products and the shortage is alarming.
