After winning the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the movie Anatomy of a Fall, Justine Trier spoke during an interview with Agence France-Presse regarding the possibility of working in the United States, specifically with American actors.
“The doors of Hollywood are open,” the French director said while in Beverly Hills, following this historic win, which she shared with her life partner, Artur Harari.
“I have to think and know exactly what I want to do,” she added.
Justine Trier confirmed that she “definitely” likes “working with American actors,” and asked, “Will I take them to my country instead of me going and moving (from France)? I don’t know. I can’t know that yet.”
Since Anatomy of a Fall won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May, the film has won international awards, including two Golden Globes, one BAFTA for British cinema, and several American critics’ awards.
