FORMER Deputy Chair of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Saut Situmorang believes that law enforcement officers must be protected from various attempts at political injustice. In particular, holding parties suspected of being involved in a case hostage so that they do not act once morest the government.
“Therefore, we must also guard in places where injustice occurs. We must also guard in places (such as) at the KPK,” said Saut in the Crosscheck by Medcom.id program entitled ‘Stun-stun, Hostage Questionnaire Law case?’ on the Medcom.id YouTube account, Sunday (10/3).
Saut believes that it is an important time to let the political process run its course, especially since there has been no decision from the General Election Commission (KPU). Law enforcement officers who have detected irregularities are encouraged to exercise restraint.
“We hope that, as is also done in the police, we ask them, and also in the Prosecutor’s Office that they will finish it first, save it first,” said Saut.
Members of the National Winning Team Expert Council Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) emphasized the importance of law enforcement officials currently prioritizing wisdom. Law enforcement officials can investigate cases that cause greater losses to the state.
“On the other hand, there are still many cases that are more priority and have greater value than just issues that are referred to as regional development banks. This is once once more following we mentioned it in the first place, we also need to be afraid, the next word we have to do is wisdom,” Saut said.

Previously, PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto linked the reporting of presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) with the proposal for an election fraud questionnaire. Ganjar actually proposed the right to inquiry to reveal irregularities in the implementation of the election.
“Just now Pak Ganjar proposed that the right to inquiry be immediately electrocuted. Someone reported it to the Corruption Eradication Commission. That was a lot of electric shocks,” said Hasto at the FISIP UI Election Talk event, Depok, West Java, Thursday, March 7 2024.
On the other hand, Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) reported allegations of receiving gratuities that occurred at Bank BPD Jateng. Ganjar Pranowo was dragged into the complaint.
