The results of a public opinion poll were released on the 13th showing that Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myeong and People Power Party candidate Won Hee-ryong are engaged in a close race within the margin of error in Gyeyang-eul, Incheon. Gyeyang-eul, Incheon, is an area that is attracting attention from the ruling and opposition parties as the confrontation between the leader of the main opposition party and former government minister Seok-yeol Yoon took place.

YTN commissioned the public opinion polling agency Embrain Public to conduct a public opinion poll on 500 men and women over 18 years old living in Gyeyang-eul, Incheon, using telephone interviews for two days starting on the 9th. As a result, candidate Lee Jae-myung was 42%, and candidate Won Hee-ryong was 42%. It received 39% support. It is a tight match within the margin of error (±4.4%p).

Among the so-called ‘active voters’ who said they would definitely vote in this election, the gap narrowed further to 46% for candidate Lee and 44% for candidate Won. By age group, many voters in their 40s and 50s supported this candidate, while Candidate Won received high support from those in their 60s and older. Among those in their 30s, it was similar, and among those in their 20s, more than half of the ‘floating group’ said that they had no candidate to support or did not know.

In the virtual matchup in Seongnam Bundang-Gap, Gyeonggi Province, People Power Party candidate Ahn Cheol-soo (45%) was found to be ahead of Democratic Party candidate Lee Gwang-jae (36%) outside the margin of error (±4.4% points). New Reform Party candidate Ryu Ho-jeong had 2%.

Among respondents who would definitely vote, 45% said they would vote for Candidate Ahn and 42% said candidate Lee, predicting that the two candidates would face a close race.

In Seoul Middle School and Seongdong-gap, Democratic Party candidate Jeon Hyun-hee recorded 35% and People Power Party candidate Yoon Hee-sook recorded 31%. It is a close battle within the margin of error. However, 31% of voters said they did not support any candidate or did not know.

In Yangsan-eul, Gyeongsangnam-do, where the head-to-head match between Gyeongnam governors took place, Democratic Party candidate Kim Doo-gwan had 41% and People Power Party candidate Kim Tae-ho had 34%. Among active voters, the gap widened slightly, with 48% for candidate Kim Doo-gwan and 39% for candidate Kim Tae-ho.

In this survey, Embrain Public conducted a telephone interview with 507 voters living in Bundang-gap, Gyeonggi-do, 501 voters in Middle and Seongdong-gap in Seoul over two days starting on the 9th, and 503 voters living in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, over two days starting on the 10th.
