Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán is considered one of the most powerful drug traffickers of the planet by leading the Sinaloa Cartel for several years.

Between 2009 and 2012, the drug kingpin was included in the magazine’s ranking of the richest people Forbes due to his immense illicitly built fortune.

“El Chapo”’s fortune at that time was valued at approximately US$1 billion. and much of his capital was invested in luxurious properties and a collection of armored cars.

These vehicles, which he used to transport himself and avoid being attacked by his enemies, cost him Joaquín Guzmán Loera an immense number.

According to information from the Mexican authorities, the founder of the Sinaloa Cartel had at least 19 armored cars with a combined value of approximately US$1 million 300 thousand.

Some of “El Chapo’s” armored vehicles were his collection of pickup trucks Dodge RAM 1500, RAM 2500 and RAM 3500, a Chevrolet Cheyenne, a Chevrolet Captiva, a 2003 Ford Lobo LARIAT and a 2013 Ford Lobo 4×4.

Likewise, the dangerous drug trafficker also had a collection of Jeep Grands made up of the models 2004 Cherokee, 2004 Liberty, 2006 Cherokee Overland, 2006 Commander, 2007 Wrangler Sahara, 2009 Rubicon, 2011 Cherokee and 201 Wrangler Sahara.

“El Chapo” Guzmán’s collection of armored vehicles was discovered by the then Attorney General’s Office (PGR) in February 2014.just a week following his second capture.

After these vehicles were seized, the PGR auctioned them and, although the names of the buyers were not revealed, it is presumed that its sale exceeded 15 million pesos.
