Gunmen kidnapped 280 students from a school in Nigeria 2024-03-12 23:48:41

He said that 17 of the kidnapped children are his own and expressed his sadness that the government has abandoned the area.

Mass abductions of children in Nigeria have become “epidemic”, especially in the north of the country. It is estimated that thousands of children have left school because of these events. The most recent abduction of children from a school was in July 2021, when gunmen raided a school and kidnapped over 150 children. Finally, the children were released, following their parents paid a ransom.
