The extremely popular mid-range mobile phone series, Samsung Galaxy A series, has a new model, and it will soon be launched in Hong Kong! Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G have made their grand debut. Not only are the new phones closer in design, their functions and specifications have also been significantly upgraded.

First of all, Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 both use the same 6.6-inch 1080×2340 Super AMOLED screen, which supports 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones are also equipped with the same 5,000mAh battery, support 25W fast charging, and adopt Samsung’s latest Key Island design language. However, the two have different body frame materials. The A55 is made of metal, while the A35 is made of plastic.
Hardware specifications
In terms of hardware specifications, both new phones are significantly improved than the previous generation, and both are equipped with front and rear double-sided glass. The A55 uses Gorilla Glass Victus+, while the A35 uses the same material on the front (the back cover material has not been announced). According to reports, Gorilla Glass Victus+ is twice as scratch-resistant as Gorilla Glass 5 used in the Galaxy A54 and A34.
In terms of processor, Galaxy A55 5G is equipped with Exynos 1480 SoC and AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU, with a choice of 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage space (the Hong Kong version will have both). In contrast, the A35 uses the older Exynos 1380 processor used in the A54, but it is still a 5nm process, showing good performance. The Hong Kong version has 8GB + 256GB storage options.
Four years of upgrades
Both new phones are equipped with Samsung Knox Vault, a hardware-based secure execution environment that is physically isolated from the processor and memory to protect the most critical data on the device, such as lock screen credentials, PIN codes, passwords and pattern, and encryption key. Samsung promises that the two new Galaxy A series phones will receive 4 years of major operating system updates and 5 years of security updates, which is quite impressive for a mid-range model.
Of particular note is that the Hong Kong version of both phones supports MicroSD memory cards. The Smart Octopus mobile phone is IP67 waterproof and has true 5G Band 79 frequency band in 5G restricted areas. It is known that these two mobile phones will be launched in Hong Kong at the end of March.
