John Cena naked at the Oscars? Behind the scenes photos reveal a lot

Although there were no surprises among the Oscar winners this year, John Cena’s exit caused the most controversy. The star appeared to be completely naked. He only covered his penis with an envelope. And what was it really like? This behind-the-scenes photo reveals a lot.

The 2024 Oscars Gala is already behind us. “Oppenheimer” won seven gold statuettes (including for best actor for Cillian Murphy and director Christopher Nolan), “Poor Creatures” – four statuettes (including best actress for Emma Stone), and “Barbie” – one statuette (for the song by Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas).

John Cena was completely naked?! The behind-the-scenes photos gave him away

This year’s Academy Awards ceremony took place without any major surprises. The only shocker was… John Cena.

The event was in full swing. When it came time to award the statuette in the best costumes category, a “naked” rapper suddenly rushed onto the stage. All he had with him was the envelope with the results.

Is the star really without any clothes? He certainly wasn’t wearing much, but new behind-the-scenes photos show John Cena protected himself in case of a mishap. He had beige underwear glued to his private parts.

The team responsible for organizing the Oscars made sure that the wrestler did not “dazzle” the audience with his complete nudity.

Let us add that this “joking sketch” took place exactly 50 years following a similar incident. Let us recall that in 1974, the (then) 46th Academy Awards were disrupted by an American photographer, Robert Opel.

A man ran naked across the stage as host David Niven announced Elizabeth Taylor. This year, before Cena appeared in front of the audience, host Jimmy Kimmel asked the audience: – Can you imagine someone running across the stage naked today?

Shortly following the star’s appearance, the host provided him with a bright material to cover himself with while the winner of the best costumes category, Holly Waddington, the creator of the costumes for “Poor Things”, spoke. She admitted that she had already forgotten what she wanted to say.
