We are already building on energy efficiency, recycling, green energy, etc. Our measures for a better tomorrow:
100 % regional
OBERNDORFER Beton is 100% manufactured in Austria and exclusively from regional raw materials. The strategic location distribution of our eight plants ensures short transport routes, direct proximity to customers and secure added value.
Innovative measures
Optimized concrete recipes, automated recipe selection and low-emission trucks (Euro 6) for transport directly reduce our CO₂ footprint. Overall, in 2023 – thanks to the switch to lower clinker cements (CEM II) – we managed to reduce our CO2 footprint by around 1,800 tons compared to 2022. Which corresponds to more than 15 million kilometers traveled by an average, newly registered Austrian car.
Smart Factory
True to our vision “Through innovation and digitality, we make construction even easier and safer,” our highest priority is to continuously develop ourselves further in terms of digitality. We are open to new technologies and innovations and use them to our advantage, for efficient production and general internal improvements, such as employee protection. For example, our Smart Factory at the Großwilfersdorf location is already 100% paperless. Laser stations, camera systems, touchscreens, automated systems, etc. ensure fully digitalized production.
Significant CO2 savings thanks to the hybrid solution
As a pioneer in the construction industry, we are known for driving forward product developments and innovations. Our hybrid ceiling systems optimally combine the best material properties of wood and concrete. The intelligent combination of materials results in an aesthetic component with high quality and an excellent CO2 balance, which has many additional advantages in favor of modern prefabricated construction.
Recycling als Standard
All concrete production residues are 100% recycled at OBERNDORFER. A recycling water system for smaller residual masses is also part of our standard. In this way, we reduce material consumption, protect the water balance and improve the recycling cycle.
Green energy
Renewable energies play an important role for us. Photovoltaic systems cover around 40% of our energy needs.
