The Municipality of San Isidro confirmed this followingnoon through a statement that, following conversations with the organizers of the Lollapalooza festival, it will be held in the district with a significant increase in the fees that the Commune will collect.
“After conversations between the Municipality of San Isidro and the organization of the Lollapalooza festival, we want to give the good news that an agreement has been reached and the event will take place,” the Municipality announced.
“The organizers will pay the rates indicated in the tax ordinance, which will allow the Municipality to cover the costs associated with the provision of municipal services during the festival. In this sense, the Municipality will raise a minimum of 200 million pesos. It is a great honor to host a festival of this level,” the local Executive concluded.
Yesterday, Mayor Ramón Lanús had denounced at the opening of sessions of the Deliberative Council that the festival only contributed 20 million pesos, generating expenses for the neighbors of 60 million, for which he had advanced he would claim regarding 200 million from the organizers, something that Today it was a week before the festival took place.
